Zeodore of the Circling Agression

Nnngh! I'll get you, Blastalot!

Last but not least, Zeodore of the Circling Agression is destiined to be a boss! His original counter part was a chewing robot with a nice 128x128 pixels sprite size.
Actually he ended up a bit smaller than what he could have been, but I think he is still an impactful antagonist.

On OpenGameArt.com, one can find a lot of cool and interesting ary stuff to make games with and among those resources, there is this one pack from contributor titleknown that I find impressive and with a lot of character, a bit creepy, absurd but fascinating. This is a style I would love to see more in games, I maybe I'll them one day in an RPG maker project, who knows? It reminds me a little bit the rock'n'roll and surreal artstyle from Mason Lindroth's Hylics games.

Btw those are games you should definitely check out, they are great and wiill transport you in a world and a trip liike you've never experienced before in a game. Great soundtrack, great universe, sublime handmade artwork with a very contemporary art vibe, yeah just go and play those games. Please.

After this small digression, let's come back to our main subject of the day, the last bounciiing enemy and potential boss. I'm saying potential because PlataGO!'s users will have the coicei to use that monster as they see fit, even a regular enemy. I haven't decided if I'll push so far as to make an actual game out of my asset pack, but if I do, Zeodore will definitely be a boss.

So you may have seen a certain resemblance with the first monster of titleknown's pack, Theodore of the Twisting Violence. I named Zeodore of the Circling Agression as an hommage to that monster, from whose i used it's super big sprite as a base. at first I had to reduce the size drastically to make him fit into a 64 pixels frame.

On a sidenote, I have absolutely no idea where the name Theodore of the Twisting Violence came from, googling it returns nothing, so I can only assume that it emerged from titleknown's mind, but oh yeah this name is sick. Although I think Thedore comes from Theodore Roosevelt because there is definitely a resemblance.

Now unfortunately I don't have imagery from his creation process, but I have this image nonetheless:

At first I was trying to recreated an even more pixelated version og the original Theodore, but when I came to apply the Dawnbringers 32 palette colors on it, I quickly fell short of, well colors.  I decided to get rid of the moustache and go for an even more dramatic and angry face.
I also had the animation in mind, and as cool as the twisting violence all around Theodore's head could have been cool, it would have been a nightmare to animate and would surely have taken up too much time.
II chose then to focus on a more featured face, yet devilish in its look with the horns somewhat shaped like stars.

One of the iterations had a kind of circling frame all around his head, like a magic circle of some sort, but I felt that it wasn't quite on point, so I choose to get rid of it and keep with the looks he has now.
